Job Description:
Are you a therapist looking for a flexible, part-time position? Join Deebia, where we offer the
unique opportunity to work remotely, providing essential mental health services to Indigenous
individuals across all age groups. We handle all marketing efforts on your behalf and guarantee
a full part-time caseload within a month of starting. Expect opportunities to expand your practice
with group, couples, and family therapy sessions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual therapy primarily to indigenous clients of all ages.

  • Offer group, couples, and family therapy as needed, if desired.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development.

  • Ensure culturally appropriate, empathetic, and non-judgmental care.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology or Social Work.

  • Current registration and good standing with your college of therapists.

  • Strong understanding of and ability to provide culturally sensitive care.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Schedule: 8 hours shift, Monday to Friday

Job Description:

  • Perform abdominal, small parts, vascular, breasts, and obs/gyne US

  • Conduct phone interview and in-person interview with physicians throughout the serviced medical offices to answer questions or attain details relating to ordered
    sonographic images

  • Communicate with the radiologist regarding imaging findings

  • Prepare ultrasound equipment and exam room ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed

  • Review the patient’s medical chart prior to their appointment and have a clear understanding of the images required

  • Assist with scheduling of patients, if needed

  • Use positioning tools and safety equipment properly to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging

  • Attend continuing education courses and work to advance personal knowledge and experience within the field

  • Use ethical judgment and critical thinking skills to perform diagnostic imaging safely

  • Review images before sending to the radiologist to ensure a clear image of the area requested

  • Assist with the training of new staff or education of interns or trainees

  • Other duties as assigned

Education:

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred) 

Licence/Certification:

  • Sonography Canada Credentials (preferred)

  • ARDMS (required if no Sonography Canada Credentials)

 Experience:

  • Sonography: 1 year (preferred)
