When you arrive at the clinic, our reception team will check you in and answer any questions you have. The wait time depends on the day and time of your visit.

A medical radiation technologist (MRT) will guide you through positioning for the exam. You may be asked to remove jewelry or change into a gown depending on the area being imaged. The exam itself is painless.
How long it takes
Most exams take 10 to 15 minutes total.
A radiologist reviews your X-ray images after the exam. The report is sent securely to your referring physician, who will follow up with you to discuss the findings.

In most cases, no. Most X-ray exams require little to no preparation. When you arrive, you may be asked to change into a gown, depending on the area being examined.
A medical radiation technologist (MRT) will position you for the exam. You will need to remain still, and may be asked to hold your breath briefly while each image is taken.
